Welcome to VertexScore. These terms govern your use of vertexscore.com and the services we provide (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

What VertexScore is (and isn't)

VertexScore provides educational guidance: a readiness assessment, scores, and an advisory report with recommendations for high school students and their families. It is an informational tool. It is not professional counseling, and it does not guarantee admission to any college or university, scholarship awards, or any particular academic outcome. Decisions about courses, applications, and finances remain yours; we encourage families to work with their school counselor.

Accounts and eligibility

• The Service is designed for high school students (grades 9–12) and their parents or guardians.
• Students under 13 need a parent or guardian's approval before their account becomes active, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your sign-in method secure.

Subscriptions, trials, and refunds

• The core assessment and score are free. Paid plans unlock the full advisory report and additional features, billed monthly through Stripe.
• Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial. You can cancel during the trial and pay nothing.
• You can cancel anytime from Settings; your plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
• We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first payment — email support@vertexscore.com and we will refund it, no questions asked.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in a way that breaks the law or harms others.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Copy, resell, or scrape the Service or its content.
• Interfere with the operation or security of the Service.

Your content and our content

You own the information you submit. You give us permission to use it to operate the Service (for example, to prepare your report). The Service itself — including its design, text, scoring frameworks, and reports — belongs to VertexScore and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Your report is yours to download, print, and share for personal and educational use.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." While we work hard to make the guidance accurate and useful, we make no warranties about outcomes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, VertexScore's total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and liability limits) survive termination.

Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If changes are material, we will update the date above and notify account holders by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
